Nativity by Libby and Charlotte D

Nativity
At midnight I woke up in my bedroom. I went to get a drink, suddenly…..I heard a calm voice. Slowly I turned around. A tall man all in white was standing in front of me. I was full of fear, until the man said”, god is with you”. The man told me that his name was Gabriel. Gabriel whispered that I was going to have a baby. Then I fell to the ground and a single tear fell down my cheek.

After four months I told Joseph. He must have been shocked with horror. I thought Joseph would believe me when I told him what angel Gabriel had said. Joseph just looked away and said “I loved you!” I felt scared, unloved and a little bit selfish.

Joseph was going to take me to Bethlehem to have a baby. It was tiring and hard. The sun had disappeared in the rolling hills. Joseph made two beds to sleep on. At midnight joseph had the same dream about Gabriel.

When we got to Bethlehem I felt unloved, we were turned away from every inn in Bethlehem. Until we found an empty stable.

The time had come. I was going to have the baby……When Jesus was born it was the best thing that had happened to me since I had met Joseph. Suddenly we saw a star shining high in the sky. Me and Joseph were startled to find three magi bursting into the barn. They offered gold, frankincense and Mir. Then knelt down and bowed to Jesus. He really was the son of god.

Down into the Deep by Isabel

Down, Down, Down I sank. A wonderful sight came before my eyes. There it was the beautiful coral reef. With lots of little fish they were so colourful and sparkly. Then I went a bit further down and I saw a plastic bag in a dolphins mouth so I took It out for it and went a bit further  out and I found an oil trail  it looked discussing so I went back up. Then a turtle came a swam beside me and then it stopped. To eat   some seaweed so I went a bit deeper and found an amazing silver back shark it went right up to me but then I saw a killer whale so I swam for it!! Till I got back to the top of the reef and swam with the fish it was a dream come true.

I was in the dark now and I saw some amazing jelly fish one that had tentacles about 30 meters long and I saw coral that in the summer turned into jelly fish (amazing isn’t it ?). I saw a jelly fish that can sting and some that cannot sting.

Down into the Deep by Jamie

Down, down, down I sank. A wonderful sight came before my eyes.  A bright green turtle swam beside my legs.  I saw a blue whale I got quite scared at first but then the massive blue whale turned around I swam as fast as I could.  I got hold of a gigantic blue whale.  He was massive! I got off because I was inspired by the colourful octopuses.

Down in the Deep by Jess

Down, down, down I sank.  A l sight wonderful sight came before my eyes, its shimmering in the moon light.  It was a rainbow fish, it’s beautiful.  I kept swimming and then I saw loads of little fish.  After a while I saw a blue whale passed me WHOOSH!!!  I was amazed and shocked.  I also thought to myself.  What will feed the blue whale, killer sharks and all of the big fish?

Going diving made me feel proud and ecstatic.  I saw a clown fish and I knew they were dangerous, so I avoided it.  Next I saw turtle eggs.  They are see through.  There are thousands of them all stuck on a piece of seaweed.

It was now getting dark and my legs feel like they are going to fall off and also Im absolutely shattered.  So I swam back to shore and went home.

Down into the Deep by Billie

Down down down I sank.  A wonderful sight came before my eyes.  I saw a fish that I’ve never seen before it was beautiful.  As I saw that fish I looked down and I saw a massive fish.  It had eight tentacles and it was the colour of the sand.  It was an octopus.  It was amazing.  After that I saw some dolphins I was shocked I just wanted to wake up.  Then the dolphins started to squeak I wanted to do it do.  Then I saw an amazing animal it was humongous it was a blue whale.  I couldn’t even see my self it was so so so BIG!!!! I tried to swim with it I didn’t.  even know were its head was.  Its cub was so cute. Then something swam past me it was a squid and a jellyfish I could not believe it.  It was so unreal.  Then my eyes saw a clown fish and a shark.  It was beautiful I couldn’t believe this ocean.  It was as blue as the sky the fish was more amazing as bright colours.

Autumn Is... by Ellen

AUTUMN  IS

A bonfire blazes
A cobweb sparkles
A flower dying
ONE conker cracks in the middle hour

A tree bare
AN apple falls
A clock goes back
ONE leaf falls to make a carpet under the tree

A child left cold
AN oak falls
A sliver glow
ONE autumn morn

A chimney smoke
A mist appears
A puddle frozen
ONE cold day

Remembrance Day poems

Libby wrote this poem about Remembrance Day.

 The Poppy

The red of the poppy,
 millions will copy.
The green of the stem,
we remember them.

The soldiers who fought,
the poppies were bought.
A short live to live,
but a lot to give.

A beautiful gift,
the sins that lift.
The lives that were lost,
the lives with a cost.

With the symbol of the poppy we will never forget those that gave there lives.
